2Organic indulgence at Pillars of Hercules Organic Farm Shop 

Just along the road, set on the beautiful Falkland Estate, Pillars of Hercules is one of Fife’s best-loved organic farm shops and cafés. Browse shelves filled with seasonal produce, artisan breads, homemade cakes and locally sourced goods before enjoying a relaxed coffee in a beautiful countryside setting. Across Fife, you’ll find lots of farm shops showcasing the region’s rich larder, from coastal delicacies to local homemade preserves and freshly harvested produce including Balgove Larder, Ardross Farm Shop and Blacketyside Farm Shop. 


3Bowhouse Food Weekend: Fife’s ultimate foodie gathering 

A must-visit for any foodie is the Bowhouse Food Weekends, a celebration of Scotland’s vibrant food and drink scene, bringing together top producers, street food vendors, brewers and chefs in the heart of the East Neuk. Visitors can sample everything from fresh seafood and artisan cheeses to craft spirits and seasonal dishes, all within a lively market-style atmosphere that champions local flavour and creativity. The Bowhouse Food Weekends take place on the second weekend of each month. (10-11 July 2027)

This immersive experience combines hands-on foraging along the shoreline with expert guidance on identifying and harvesting seasonal seaweeds. The journey culminates in a unique five-course tasting menu, cooked over an open flame and inspired by the day’s harvest, a true celebration of Fife’s coastal flavours and wild ingredients.
