Did you know that Kirkcaldy Galleries is a key part of the Lang Toun’s War Memorial? Join us throughout 2025 as we celebrate its centenary with a packed programme of exhibitions, displays and events.

Our centenary exhibition opens on Saturday 28 June:

•Discover what connects the Great War, a mystery benefactor and the Galleries •Explore the collection and help to tell more Kirkcaldy stories

•Get involved and make new memories with us in this special year!

We’d love to see you on Saturday 28 June (11am-3pm) for our Big Birthday Bash celebrations, full of family friendly entertainment and activities.  Enjoy live music, crafts, face painting, party bags, and surprise guests – including Bud, Poppy Scotland’s mobile museum. Free entry and fun for all ages. Come celebrate a century of community, culture and creativity!

 

Exhibitions - FREE

​​​​​Dear Earth (open until 13 Sept 2026) is a message from the artists in this exhibition to the planet we live on. Ranging from photography, printmaking, ceramic, found-objects and crafted installations, the works in Dear Earth address the impact of human activity and the declining health of our planet.

Collecting the Contemporary: Scottish Art at Kirkcaldy Galleries (open until late 2026) This display showcases four paintings by renowned Scottish artists—John Bellany, Ken Currie, Callum Innes, and Alison Watt—each highlighting a unique aspect of Scottish art and different painting techniques.
