Fife’s food story begins long before it reaches your plate. Meet the farmers, growers, fishermen, producers and makers who work with the land and sea to create some of Scotland’s finest produce.

Look a little closer and you’ll find a story behind every ingredient, whether it's a family farm, a fishing boat, a seasonal harvest or an artisan producer keeping traditional skills alive.

Spring brings fresh shoots and vibrant greens. Summer fills the fields with colour. Autumn delivers an abundance of harvest flavours, while winter is made for warming dishes and comforting local produce.

DAY 1

Breakfast

Start the day with a hearty local breakfast at either The Rhynd, near Tentsmuir Forest or Balgove Larder near St Andrews. Why not pick up some goodies in the Balgove Larder farm shop which is packed with an array of Fife's finest local flavours.

Lunch

Head to Cambo Gardens and explore the beautiful estate and walled garden, before enjoying a relaxed lunch in the Cambo Gardens Café, showcasing seasonal local produce.

Afternoon

After lunch, discover the craft of whisky-making with a tour and tasting at Kingsbarns Distillery.

Dinner

Finish the day with dinner at either The Dory Bistro, renowned for its seafood and coastal flavours, or Rufflets Country House Hotel, offering a warm welcome and locally sourced cuisine.

DAY 2

Breakfast

Fuel your day with breakfast at the contemporary Cafe Verde in Burntisland serving seasonal quality flavours.

Lunch

Enjoy a walk along the stunning Silver Sands beach in Aberdour, followed by a relaxed seaside lunch at Sands: A Place by the Sea.

Afternoon

Head to Lindores Abbey Distillery for a tour and tasting and discover the story behind the site which claims Scotland's first recorded evidence of whisky distillation back in 1494.

Dinner

Round off the day with a seasonal dinner at The Grande restaurant at the Dean Park Hotel in Kirkcaldy.
